Mackenzie and Cruickshank in Forres is celebrating National Breakfast Week by launching a new Scottish themed tasty treat and it’s a challenge that could leave even the hungriest of people quaking in their boots.
M&C have created the Haggis Highrise, a breakfast feast which will certainly set you up for the day.
But can you manage it? Watch the video at the top of the page and see what happened when MacKenzie and Cruickshank set Ginno the challenge in the MFR kitchen.
The tower, made from haggis produced by Fraser Brothers Butchers in Forres will be a boost to anyone’s day. Covered in lashings of hollandaise sauce and layered with tattie scone, bacon, grilled tomato and topped with a poached egg, is a perfect start to the day for any true Scotsman or woman.
The tasty treat has been created for National Breakfast Week, an event championing the most important meal of the day .
M&C have made their Breakfast Week which runs from Monday 25th, Scottish themed to note the fact that Burns Night falls within the week.
If the Highrise is too much, M&C have create a mini-highrise, just to ensure that everyone can get their fill on what is sure to become a regular feature on the M&C menu.
For those who want a slightly healthier alternative to The Haggis Highrise, you can opt for a stack made purely from the newly crowned superfood – black pudding.
Like The Haggis Highrise, the Black pudding Stack comes served with tattie scone, bacon, grilled tomato, poached egg and hollandaise sauce.
