Residents in Inverness were urged to stay inside in case of potentially toxic fumes from a fire at a recycling centre.

Fire crews were called to the scene in Henderson Drive at around 6pm last night.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service sent four appliances to deal with the incident.

Police urged nearby residents to close all windows and doors and keep themselves and any pets indoors as fire crews tackle the blaze, due to smoke and potentially toxic fumes from the fire.

There are no reports of any injuries.
