The boss of a popular Sutherland tourist attraction is calling on drone owners not to fly over the site, as it's disrupting visits.

The unmanned aircraft are said to be causing problems for falconry displays at Dunrobin Castle, which is near Golspie.

Speaking to MFR News its managing director Scott Morrison said: "These drones are very readily available, a lot of folk will buy them.

"But it's when they come along and don't ask is when they can cause problems.

"It has disrupted the falconry displays a number of times over the last few years, where we've had to stop the display.

"We do quite often allow people to fly drones here, because when it's outwith our normal opening hours or when we don't have falconry displays, then it's not a problem."
