School safety checks after Highland pupil treated in A&E
An Inverness High School pupil has been injured after an upstairs window fell and smashed on Wednesday.
John Rutter, Head Teacher at Inverness High School confirmed to MFR News: "Following an incident at the school yesterday, a pupil was taken to Raigmore Hospital and received treatment at the accident and emergency unit."
The safety of the windows are being checked at the school, and improved if necessary, after the boy was hurt in Wednesday's incident.
The school has been closed to pupils from S1 to S3 again today, but lessons have continued for S4-to-6 students.
Highland Council says it is "not clear...why this happened."
No details have been given about the extent of the child's injury or injuries, and no update has been given on his condition.
