Biscuits laced with Warfarin tablets have been discovered in Inverness.

Biscuits laced with Warfarin tablets have been discovered in Inverness.

A member of the public came across a number of teacake biscuits on a grassy area on Old School Place on Monday the 23rd of March.

The items appeared to have a coloured substance inserted within and were handed in to the Police.

Following initial analysis the substance is thought to be Warfarin medication, which can be extremely harmful if consumed by anyone to whom it has not been prescribed. Police are appealing for anyone who has any information to contact them on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
