Two women seriously injured with man and teen arrested in Elgin

A teenager and a 38-year-old man have been arrested after two women were seriously injured in a Moray incident.

Emergency services, including specially trained officers, were called out to Manbeen place in Elgin yesterday morning at around 11.50am.

A 39-year-old woman and a 33-year-old woman were taken to hospital for treatment to serious injuries.

The man and a 17-year-old boy were arrested in connection.

Police Scotland have outlined how enquiries are ongoing.

A spokesperson said: "Around 11.50am on Monday, 21 April, 2025, we were called to a report of concern for person at a property in the Manbeen Place area of Elgin.

"Emergency services attended, including specially trained officers, and two women, aged 39 and 33, were taken to hospital for treatment to serious injuries.

"A 38-year-old man and a 17-year-old male youth, were arrested in connection.

"Enquiries are ongoing.

"There is not believed to be any threat to the wider public however officers remain in the area and anyone with any concerns or information can approach them, or call 101 quoting incident 1238 of Monday, 21 April, 2025."
