Two women have been taken to hospital with serious injuries following a crash on the A9.

Two women have been taken to hospital with serious injuries following a crash on the A9.

The two-car collision happened near Delny, Invergordon, just before 1.30pm on Sunday.

Police Scotland said a woman driving a blue Ford Fiesta and a female passenger in a blue Honda civic were taken to Raigmore Hospital, Inverness, with serious injuries. The Honda driver received minor injuries.

Officers investigating the incident said they are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or who may have seen the cars before they crashed.

They also want to speak to the driver of a light blue or silver Audi A3 which may have been in the area at the time.
