Two teens critically injured and another taken to hospital following A82 crash

Two teenagers are fighting for their lives and another is seriously injured after a crash near Inverness.

The 16-year-olds were pedestrians in a crash involving a white Audi on the A82 at Kirkton, near Lochend, yesterday afternoon.

One boy was taken to Raigmore Hospital with life threatening conditions.

A girl who also sustained life-threatening injuries was initially taken to Raigmore, but later transferred to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary

Another girl was seriously injured, but not believed to be life threatening.

The road was closed for six hours following the crash at 4:20pm.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have seen the incident to come forward.

Road Policing Sergeant Angus Macleod said: "Our enquiries into the crash are ongoing and it's important we establish exactly what happened.

"I would urge anyone who may have witnessed the crash but has not yet spoken to police to come forward. I am particularly keen to speak to anyone who may have dash cam footage which could help with our investigation."
