Two separate collisions involving emergency vehicles in Ross-shire
A two vehicle incident involving Police vehicle in Easter Ross and also a van and an ambulance near Munlochy
A policeman and two other people have been injured in a two-vehicle collision involving a police car heading out to an emergency call in Alness.
The crash happened on the A9 near Delny, Easter Ross, at around 3pm on Monday.
The marked police car was responding to another incident when it was involved in a collision with a black Mazda.
Four fire engines, ambulance teams, and coastguard helicopter formed the emergency responce, with a male police officer, along with civilian a man and woman cut free from the vehicles. They were subsequently airlifted to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary by the coastguard helicopter. Their injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
The road was closed between Invergordon and Kildary while emergency services dealt with the incident.
The following day on Tuesday, at around 9:30am, a van driver had to be cut free from his vehicle after a crash with an ambulance.
The incident happened on Rhives Road near Munlochy. Police Scotland, the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) and an air ambulance were all in attendance.
A SFRS spokesman said cutting equipment was used to free the man from his van.
It is believed he has not suffered life-threatening injuries, according to Police.
