Two motorcyclists seriously injured after crash with car near Nairn

Two men are seriously injured following a collision between two motorcycles near Ferness.

Emergency services, including an air ambulance, rushed out after receiving reports of a crash by Loch Belivat at around 3.30pm yesterday afternoon.

The motorcyclists, aged 28 and 26, were taken to Raigmore Hospital

Their injuries have been described as being "serious, but stable."

A man and a woman in the car were shaken up by the incident, but not injured.

Police appeal

Sergeant Alasdair MacKay, of Highland and Islands Road Policing Unit, said: "Enquiries to establish the full circumstances of this incident are ongoing and we are appealing for anyone with information to please contact us.

"If you were in the area at the time and witnessed the crash, or have any information or relevant dash-cam footage which may be able to assist our investigation, then please get in touch.”
