More coronavirus cases have been identified in connection to an outbreak at Raigmore hospital.

A further two cases have been confirmed after Ward 2C was closed on Saturday.

NHS Highland say those affected aren't giving "immediate cause for concern."

A spokeswoman said: "Ward 2C at Raigmore Hospital remains closed to new admissions and visiting following the detection of a small number of cases of Covid-19.

"There has been a further two cases identified since Monday’s (08 March) update however none of those affected are giving any immediate cause for concern.

"We would like to take this opportunity to remind everyone they should continue to adhere to physical distancing guidelines, wear a face-covering when in enclosed spaces, clean your hands and surfaces regularly and immediately self-isolate and book a test if you develop symptoms."
