Two men have been arrested in connection with the death of an Ayrshire restaurateur almost 25 years ago.

Ansar Shah, 38, died after allegedly being attacked outside Armaann

Brasserie in Ayr.

Police Scotland's homicide and governance review team arrested a 53-year-old man in London and a 59-year-old man in Ayrshire in connection with the death on October 4 1993.

It follows the appearance of 51-year-old Jagtar Singh at Glasgow High Court on Tuesday in connection with his death.

He made no plea and will appear again at a later date.

Police said inquiries are ongoing into the death of Mr Shah.
