Two arrests after handbag robbery in Inverness
A woman was assaulted and robbed on Thursday 15 February 2018.
Two women have been arrested and will appear in Inverness Sheriff Court after a woman was attacked and had her handbag stolen.
The assault happened on Kingmills Road in Inverness at 5.20pm.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident.
DC Weatherall stated : 'The victim in this enquiry did not require medical treatment as a result of the incident and was assisted by members of the public shortly afterward whom notified Police.
'This led to the quick apprehension of the two offenders. Police Scotland would like to assure the Public that this appeared to be an opportunistic crime by the females involved.
'Increased patrols will be carried out in the area.'
