Troublesome Longman set for improvement in Inverness
The traditionally busy bottle-neck is to benefit as part of the Inverness City-Region deal

It's a regular bugbear for commuters in-and-around Inverness, but now designers are expected to begin at investigating ways to improve the Longman Roundabout.
Sat near the Kessock Bridge, it's one of the busiest roundabouts in the city, connecting the A9 and A82, often the area for long tailbacks at peak times.
Recently there have been many vocal opponents of the lights at the roundabout which have again been accused of adding to congestion, but with a flyover to factor in, following the £315 million pound City-Region deal, it's hoped this might alleviate the traffic chaos.
According to Transport Scotland, contractor Jacobs UK is expected to take 15 to 18 months to complete its options assessment and design work.
