Tributes pour in as woman killed in A9 crash named by Police

A 21-year-old woman who died following a crash on the A9 has been named by Police.

Samantha Davies was killed when the grey Nissan Micra she was in crashed near the Artafallie junction on the Black Isle.

Police received reports of the crash around 10am on Sunday.

There were no other people in the car.

Tributes have been flooding in for Samantha on social media.

One user said: "Tragic, thoughts are with her poor family."

Another commented: "So sad thinking of all her family at this very sad time."

A third said: "Heartbreaking. Condolences to her family. R.I.P. Samantha."

Another added: "Bless her family and friends so sad."

Sergeant David Miller, from Police Scotland’s Road Policing Unit, also paid tribute.

He said "Our thoughts remain with the friends and family of Samantha at this difficult time.

"Our investigation is ongoing to establish the full circumstances of this incident and we are appealing to anyone who may have seen the collision and has not already spoken to us or anyone who might have dash-cam footage to contact us.

"We are grateful to everyone who has assisted our enquiries so far."
