"Cool, calm and breezy" - Tom Stoltman claims second World's Strongest Man title
A Highland athlete has won the World's Strongest Man title for the second year in a row.
Tom Stoltman, from Invergordon, came from behind after Ukraine's Oleksii Novikov was leading the event.
However, after an impressive display in the Atlas Stones event he sealed the title and ensured the trophy was coming back to Easter Ross once again.
It's celebrations all round, as older brother Luke also finished 7th in the final standings and it's Tom's 28th birthday today.
"I'm hungry for that six titles"
Speaking to World's Strongest Man social media, Tom was delighted to win the accolade for the second year in a row.
He said: "I wanted to come back and prove point.
"Cool, calm and breezy all the way through.
"What a way to finish it off again on the stones.
"I’m just speechless. To do it back to back is just an amazing feeling. "
Tom also outlined how he's keen to beat the record for most titles held, which currently stands at five.
He added: "I’m hungry for that six titles.
"This is the competition I get most hyped for and most motivated for and my training proves that.
"I don’t really like putting stuff on social media, it’s about coming here and mixing it with the big guys.
"A big shoutout to Luke who pushes me all the way, my wife, my nutritionist, Dan my coach. What a team I’ve got.
“To do it in front of these guys is just unbelievable."
