Thunderstorms to hit Scotland after Met Office brings forward weather warning

Thunderstorms are set to hit Scotland after the Met Office brought forward a yellow warning.
The country has been placed under two separate thunderstorm warnings for Sunday and Monday following the recent heatwave.
The hot spell, which resulted in some of Scotland's warmest days of the year so far, saw temperatures reach highs of 30 degrees Celsius in some areas.

The first warning, initially issued for noon tomorrow, was brought forward by the forecasters to 9am on Sunday - with heavy rain continuing across the country into Monday.
A second yellow warning is in place from midnight until 11.59pm on Monday night, meaning Scots could be braced for two days of thunderstorms and torrential rain.
While some places stay dry, hit-and-miss thunderstorms will develop on Sunday and Monday night and may bring disruption in places.

There is a risk of hail, lightning, flooding and some cancellation to public transport.
A warning from the Met Office said: "Some places missing the worst, while others seem likely to see heavy downpours and thunderstorms.
"These could bring up to around 50 mm of rain falling in 2-3 hours, leading to some disruption, although there will be some drier periods in between.
"Hail and frequent lightning are potential additional hazards."
