Three people taken to hospital after 'serious crash' on the A96

A three-car crash in Moray has left three people needing hospital treatment.

Emergency services rushed to the scene of the crash on the A96 near Lhanbryde just before midday yesterday.

A man and woman were taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, while another man was taken to Dr Gray's in Elgin for treatment.

The collision involved a silver Volvo, a red Land Rover and a black Volkswagen Golf with the road closed for around seven hours yesterday.

Sergeant Geoff Smart appealed to anyone who may have seen the crash to get in touch with police.

He said: "Our enquiries into the cause of this crash are ongoing.

"I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the crash and who hasn’t already spoken to officers to get in touch.

"I would also ask anyone with dash-cam footage which may help us to contact us."
