Teenager taken to hospital after crash between car and lorry on A99

An 18-year-old man has been taken to hospital after a crash between a lorry and a car in Caithness.

Emergency services were alerted to the collision on the A99 near Latheron yesterday evening at around 5:30pm.

The teenager was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, following the crash involving a grey Audi A3 and a blue Volvo Artic

Police Scotland are appealing to anyone who may have seen the crash to get in touch with officers.

Sergeant Doug Scott said: “Our enquiries into the cause of this crash are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who witnessed the crash and who hasn’t already spoken to officers to get in touch.

“I would also ask anyone with dash-cam footage which may help us to contact us.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident number 2621 of 10 April, 2023.
