A 16-year-old boy has died in a crash in Moray.

The cyclist was involved in a crash with a car at around 11am on Sunday.

Police said the teenager died at the scene on the B9010 Forres to Kellas road.

No one in the car, a white Volkswagen Golf, was injured.

The road was closed at either end of the B9010 at Forres and Elgin, meaning motorists were advised to avoid the route, while police dealt with the accident.
