Teen charged with attempted murder of 15-year-old boy in Elgin

A 16-year-old is due to appear in court today.

A teenager has been charged in connection with the attempted murder of a 15-year-old boy in Moray.

The 16-year-old was arrested following the incident on High Street in Elgin.

He's due to appear at Elgin Sheriff Court today.

The younger boy was later released after being treated at Dr Gray's Hospital.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "A 16-year-old male youth has been arrested and charged in connection with an attempted murder on a 15-year-old boy on High Street, Elgin on Saturday, 16 November, 2024.

"He is due to appear at Elgin Sheriff Court on Tuesday, 19 November, 2024.

"A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
