14-year-old girl injured in "frightening" Invergordon attack

Police say she was assaulted by two women and a teenage girl.

A teenage girl has been assaulted by two women and another teenager in Invergordon.

The 14-year-old was attacked last night around 8:45pm in the alleyway between Fleming Way and Ness Gardens.

She was taken to Raigmore hospital with minor injuries before being released.

Police say they're looking for one woman described as being in her 60's and another in her 40's.

Officers are appealing to anyone with information on the incident to get in touch

The older woman is said to be of a slim build with grey hair and the second of a heavy build with brown medium length hair.

Police Scotland are appealing to anyone with information to get in touch.

Inspector Joanne Thomson of Alness police office said: "This was a frightening experience for the girl involved who, thankfully, did not suffer serious injuries.

"Enquires to establish the circumstances of this incident are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who may have been in the area and may have seen anything to get in touch.

"Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting incident 3570 of 28 June, or alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
