Tanker crash in Beauly sees vehicle collide with building

The incident happened around quarter-to-one on Thursday

Locals on the High Street in Beauly were left stunned following a crash on Thursday.

Two people were involved in the collision around lunchtime in the town centre.

A tanker collided with a vacant shop around quarter-to-one with the vehicle hitting a car, mounting the pavement and crashing through bollards.

Scottish Fire and Rescue Service sent three appliances and specialist resources to the area around the High Street, The Square, Beauly.

A spokesperson said, “One casualty self-extricated from the vehicle and one casualty was removed from the vehicle and handed into the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service"

The A862 was closed until 4pm to enable work to clear the incident.
