Stricken Cargo Vessel Refloated

A cargo vessel which ran aground while docking has been refloated. Stornoway Coastguard was contacted by the crew of the 91-metre general cargo vessel Fri Sea just before midday yesterday.

They reported they had gone aground during docking manoeuvres at Corpach near Fort William.

A spokesman for the Coastguard said the vessel was refloated on high water at around 8pm today and is now alongside the pier.

None of the seven crew members were injured.
