About 900 litres of syrup was emptied on to a road after a container was vandalised.

The incident happened near Conon Bridge in the Highlands between 4pm and 6pm on Sunday.

Police Scotland has appealed for information and said it was investigating a report of vandalism to the container at the rear of Burnside Lane.

The syrup, which was to be used in food production, was leaked on to the roadside.
