Six people taken to hospital and two men arrested following A9 crash

The crash involved a recovery vehicle and a car near the Glentrium junction

Six people have been taken to hospital and two men have been arrested after a crash on the A9 involving a recovery vehicle and a car.

Police received a report of the incident at the Glentrium junction around 6.30pm on Thursday, 20 June, 2024.

Emergency services attended and six people were taken to Raigmore Hospital.

The road was closed to allow for recovery and fully reopened around 10.15pm.

The 52-year-old male driver of the car was arrested and charged in connection with the incident and is due to appear in court at a later date.

The 44-year-old male driver of the recovery vehicle was arrested in connection with road traffic offences and enquiries are ongoing.
