Second day of RMT action set to hit rail passengers
ScotRail still hopeful of running 70% of services to serve 72% of passengers, although they admit disruption will be more severe outside of the Central Belt.
ScotRail are advising passengers to plan well, check ahead, and keep abreast of information on their website ahead of a second day of strike action by RMT members.
Rob Shorthouse, communications director at ScotRail, says the disruption will be similar to Tuesday's strike.
"I don't think there's any good time for customers to be faced with this level of disruption, we really don't want to be in this situation and the RMT strike is causing a bit of pain for people. We're doing everything we can to help people during the strike and hopefully find a solution to the dispute"
Mr Shorthouse says ScotRail are keen to alleviate problems with tourists and their holiday plans:
"We've spoken to VisitScotland and the Scottish Tourism Alliance to make sure we get the information out there. It's hugely important that we can deliver information that's right and accurate and also that people can access it on our website to help them in the journeys they're about to take"
