Police are trying to trace a 69-year-old man who has been reported missing in the Glencoe area.
Police are trying to trace a 69-year-old man who has been reported missing in the Glencoe area.
Robin Garton, who is from Wiltshire, is an experienced and keen mountaineer and was staying in the area near to Buachaille Etive Mor.
Police enquiries made so far have established that Mr Garton checked out of his accommodation at around 8.00am on Friday 25 September 2015.
He had plans to travel North to meet friends in the Kinlochewe area on Sunday but failed to meet as arranged and has not been seen since Friday morning.
He was reported missing yesterday afternoon.
Mr Garton is described as 6’2” in height, of slim to medium build, he has fair hair which is slightly balding and occasionally wears glasses. It is not known what he was wearing, but it is believed that he was hill walking in the Glencoe area. Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101.
