Police in Inverness are continuing the search for missing man Jason Gates from Hampshire, last seen in the Drumnadrochit area.

A jacket found to the west of Drumnadrochit, close to where 'Max' (Jason's dog) was located on Tuesday 15th March, has now been identified as Jason’s. The recovery of the jacket is part of the ongoing investigation, in addition to all potential sightings and information received. Police have received a number of calls from members of the public with information to assist the search effort. A possible sighting of Jason is being investigated following a report that a man matching Jason’s description (6’3”, slim build with short grey hair, dark clothing and walking boots) was seen on the Great Glen Way, near the Abriachan woodlands car park, on Sunday afternoon (20th March). As the area was busy with families and walkers at the time, police would appeal to anyone who was in the area on Sunday and may have seen a man as described above to make contact. Anyone with information to assist in tracing Jason is urged to contact Police on 101.
