Scottish Mother Remanded Over Death Of Baby

A woman has appeared in court charged with the murder of her baby daughter.

Ten-month-old Chloe Sutherland died after being admitted to the Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Edinburgh on Tuesday night.

Police had been called to an address in Parkhead View in the city and said a 35-year-old woman was arrested over the death.

Erin Sutherland appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court today, charged with murder.

She made no plea or declaration and was remanded in custody ahead of a further court appearance later this month.
