Schoolboy airlifted after fall at Moray beauty spot

A fourteen-year-old boy has been rescued by helicopter, after slipping on rocks near Portknockie.

A fourteen-year-old boy has been rescued by helicopter, after slipping on rocks near Portknockie.

The alarm was raised last night at Bow Fiddle Rock, a local beauty spot.

Three local coastguard crews were called to the scene, as well as the Coastguard Helicopter from Inverness.

The boy was winched to dry land and taken by ambulance to Dr Gray's Hospital in Elgin - he's not believed to be seriously injured.
