Satellite images of Storm Ophelia released by Dundee University

We're being told to expect heavy rain and gale force winds across Scotland tonight.

The University of Dundee Satellite Receiving Station captured images of Storm Ophelia this morning, which is expected to hit Scotland in the next few hours.

They were taken by the Meteostat satellite at 09:00 GMT and show the striking true size of the storm.

A yellow 'be aware' warning has been issued for parts of the country and we're told to expect gale force winds tonight.
