Ross County have kicked off their summer transfer business with moves for four new players.

The League Cup winners have agreed to sign French defender Christopher Routis on a two-year deal following his exit from Bradford.

Wolves goalkeeper Aaron McCarey has also penned a two-year contract while Dutchman Kenny van der Weg has signed a 12-month agreement.

Former Staggies full-back Erik Cikos is also on his way back to the Highlands after agreeing a one-year contract.

All four moves are subject to international clearance.

Playmaker Michael Gardyne, meanwhile, has also agreed a one-year extension to his deal which will now see him remain in Dingwall until the summer of 2018.

Routis, 26, started his career with Swiss outfit Servette and made his Bantams switch in 2014. He has made 38 appearances for the Valley Parade outfit.

Former Republic of Ireland under-21 international McCarey joins County as a replacement for Leyton Orient stopper Gary Woods, whose loan spell ended at the conclusion of the campaign.

McCarey, 24, who had loan spells of his own at Telford, Walsall, York, Portsmouth and Bury, will provide competition for number one Scott Fox who recently extended his contract with the Ladbrokes Premiership club until 2019.

Staggies boss Jim McIntyre told the Highland News: "We have agreed to bring Aaron to the club on a two-year contract, which will be finalised next week.

"He's a keeper who has played at every level through the ages with Ireland and we feel he brings real potential."

Left-back Van der Weg, 25, has been with NAC Breda since 2012, clocking up more than 70 appearances in Holland's top two divisions.

Slovak right-back Cikos spent the second half of the 2013-14 season on loan with the Highlands outfit from Slovan Bratislava. The 27-year-old has now penned a permanent deal with McIntyre's side.
