A memorial for Hibernian Chairman Ron Gordon has been held in Edinburgh today (March 7).
The American, who took over at the club in 2019, died last month after a battle with Cancer.
His funeral was held last Thursday (March 2) in his home state Washington DC.
Today players, staff and a number of invited guests paid tribute to Ron in an emotional service at Mansfield Traquair in the Capital.
Chief Executive of the club Ben Kensell said: "There was a working relationship, but there was also a personal relationship.
"I spoke to him everyday, we didn't just speak about football, we spoke about life.
"I saw him as a mentor personally."
Representatives from many clubs across the nation were at the service.
SPFL CEO Neil Doncaster was also in attendance, he told us:
"He wanted his club, he wanted Scottish football, he wanted all us of to be the best versions of all of us that we could be.
"He was a tremendous asset, and it's a real tragedy that he's moved on so quickly.
"As much as it might be tempting to wonder how much of an impact he could have had, had he been with us for a few years more, I think he'd probably prefer that we celebrate what he has done for Scottish football.
"And to look at the legacy that is left behind - and there's no doubt that his enthusiasm, his passion for the game as a whole is what we'll remember."
Tributes planned at Easter Road
Hibs host Rangers on Wednesday (March 8) at Easter Road, with a number of tributes for Gordon planned.
Ahead of kick-off, the Club will pay a special tribute to Ron, where supporters will be able to show their appreciation and remember him together.
In the warm-ups ahead of the game, the Hibs team will wear special warm-up t-shirts with “May the sunshine of Leith, shine on you always Ron” on the front and “RIP Ronald J Gordon August 1954 – February 2023” on the back.
During the game, the Hibees will mark Ron’s age with the number 68 on their shorts, a commemorative message will also be printed onto their home shirt, and the players will don black armbands during the match.
