Richie Foran determind to keep Inverness squad grounded after beating Arbroath
Inverness' players will not be allowed to get too over-excited ahead of the start of the Premiership campaign despite their early-season Betfred Cup success.
Caley Thistle beat Arbroath 7-0 on Saturday to add to a convincing midweek win over Dunfermline, leaving confidence sky-high at the Caledonian Stadium.
However, manager Richie Foran will make sure his players remain firmly grounded ahead of the trip to bogey-side Partick Thistle next Saturday.
He said: ''We're up against a different animal next week. No disrespect to Arbroath but we're up against experienced, quality Premiership players and it's a big test. We'll make sure we have the right attitude going into that. We'll never gloat, we'll never get carried away with performances like that. The boys enjoyed their night on Saturday but the hard work starts again on Monday.''
He added that Carl Tremarco's recent performances have impressed him, with the left-back scoring twice in the 7-0 win over Arbroath.
Foran said: ''He should have had at least four! He's getting a really good understanding with Billy King - when Carl is bombing forward in the box, Billy will sit back.''
