Rescuers Tow Boat Taking On Water

A fishing boat is being towed to safety after it began taking on water.

The crew on board the Prevail raised the alarm at about 3am when the vessel was around 31 miles east of Montrose.

Aberdeen Coastguard said that Montrose lifeboat went to the scene.

It is towing the boat back to the town and is expected to arrive in the early afternoon.
