The seven regional MSPs for the Highlands and Islands have been confirmed.

The Scottish Conservatives will have four of their MSPs serving the area, with Douglas Ross, Edward Mountain, Donald Cameron and Jamie Halcro Johnston being elected.

Rhoda Grant has been re-elected as a regional MSP for Labour with Scottish Greens Ariane Burgess and SNP's Emma Roddick completing the Highlands and Islands list.

Counting at the Argyll and Bute count was delayed due to a fire at the count centre, meaning the declaration for the Highlands and Islands wasn't made until 5:30pm

The four constituency results across Highland and Moray were confirmed yesterday, with SNP holding onto all their seats.

Maree Todd was elected to the Caithness, Sutherland and Ross as she held off a strong challenge from Lib Dems candidate Molly Nolan, winning by just 2591 votes.

Kate Forbes was re-elected for Skye, Lochaber & Badenoch with 24,192 votes and Fergus Ewing was also re-elected to the Inverness & Nairn constituency with 21,793 votes.

Richard Lochhead kept his seat and delivered his winner's speech remotely as he was self-isolating due to a family member awaiting the results of a COVID-19 test.
