Re-appeal for fatal road crash Ardgay

Police in the Highlands have issued a fresh appeal following a fatal road crash on the A836 between Ardgay and Bonar Bridge, Sutherland.

Officers are continuing to investigate into the cause of the collision involving a red Toyota Auris and a pedestrian that happened around 4.40pm on Monday 23 December 2019.

A 67-year-old woman was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

Constable Robbie Stewart of Highlands Road Policing, said: "We are looking to speak to the driver of a white vehicle, possibly a Volkswagen Golf, which was travelling towards Ardgay between the hours of 4.25pm and 4.40pm.

"We believe the driver of this vehicle may be able to provide information that could prove vital in our investigation.

"I would also urge anyone who has any information or possible dashcam footage relating to this incident to contact Police on 101 quoting incident number 2546 of 23 December, 2019."
