Rape Crisis Centre coming to Moray
It is the last local authority area to have get a Rape Crisis Centre.
The new Rape Crisis Centre in Moray is launching in Elgin on 21 September 2018.
In 2016-17 there were 221 reports of sexual crimes in Moray.
Rape Crisis Scotland said: 'We know from survivors and from research that the majority if incidents go unreported.
'This service will allow us to start to address the needs or survivors, whether or not they choose to report, and to guage the level of demand and unmet need in the Moray area.'
The service in Elgin will join the network of 16 other Rape Crisis services around Scotland.
