Rangers will be stronger at end of January than at start, says van Bronckhorst
The Ibrox boss is confident in their business in the transfer window
Giovanni van Bronckhorst is convinced his Rangers squad will be stronger at the end of the transfer window than it was at the start.
The Ibrox side have signed James Sands and Amad Diallo on loan deals this month with three players heading out the door.
Nathan Patterson sealed a big money move to Everton while summer signing Juninho Bacuna left for Birmingham City.
Veteran striker Jermain Defoe was also released by the club.
Van Bronckhorst says he is unsure what will happen in the final days of the window but is confident he will have a better squad coming out of January than he had going in.
He said: "It's the last days so we can still do some business.
"But I don't know who is going. Anything can happen, especially in the last days of the transfer window.
"Sometimes it gets a little bit crazy but I hope that in this window for us it stays calm.
"You never know but we will see in a couple of days how our squad will look for the remainder of the season.
"I'm confident we will leave this window better than we started it."
Midfielder Scott Arfield has also been linked with a move away from the club with his contract expiring in the summer.
The Canadian international is reportedly sparking interest from MLS side, bit Giovanni van Bronckhorst says he wants to keep him.
He said: "Scott has been really important for the team, not only this season but all the seasons before.
"He is an experienced player and he is definitely a player I want to have longer at Rangers.
"Hopefully we can welcome him next season as well."
