Rangers set to receive club record fee from Everton for Nathan Patterson
The 20-year old looks close to sealing a move to the Premier League
Rangers are set to receive a club record fee as Nathan Patterson edges closer to a move to Everton.
The Premier League side made a failed attempt to sign the 20-year old in the summer but are now following up on their interest.
Patterson finds himself behind club captain James Tavernier in the pecking order and has only started six matches this campaign.
It is believed a deal is likely to go through with Rangers set to pocket more than the £9million they got when Alan Hutton moved to Tottenham in 2008.
Everton are keen to strengthen after a disappointing start to the campaign and have already spent big money on Ukraine international Vitaliy Mykolenko.
Patterson is next on Rafa Benitez's wishlist with a move to the Premier League a tempting proposition for the Scotland international.
