Covid-19 outbreak confirmed at Highland hospital
Visiting and new admissions is closed in Ward 4C at Raigmore Hospital after a "very small number" of cases were confirmed
Coronavirus cases have been confirmed at Raigmore Hospital.
NHS Highland say visiting and new admissions is closed at Ward 4C as they are dealing with a "very small number of cases" of the virus.
They also added patients are being clinically assessed and monitored with normal patient care continuing.
A spokesperson said: "Ward 4C at Raigmore Hospital is closed to new admissions and visiting following the detection of a very small number of cases of COVID-19.
"Patients are being clinically assessed and monitored with normal patient care continuing.
"All appropriate infection prevention and control measures have been put in place.
"Close contacts have been identified and given appropriate advice and support.
"We would like to take this opportunity to remind everyone they should continue to adhere to physical distancing guidelines, wear a face-covering when in enclosed spaces, clean your hands and surfaces regularly and immediately self-isolate and book a test if you develop symptoms.
"An update will be available after 4pm on Monday, 04 October 2021."
