Public help sought following Nairn assault

Man 25-30 thought to have carried out the attack on Sunday 4th June

Police in Nairn are appealing for information following an assault that was reported to have occurred in the early hours of Sunday morning.

At around 2.00am on Sunday 4th June 2017 a female was assaulted on Church Street / Mill Road in Nairn.

During the incident the woman was approached and grabbed by an unknown man. She was uninjured but left badly shaken.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Graham Taylorson said "This was a particularly distressing incident for the victim and so we are keen for any members of the public who have knowledge of this incident, are aware of any comments on social media or were in the area at the time to come forward with information"

"The man has been described as a white male, aged around 25 - 30 years of age wearing a light coloured top"

"Drivers who were out in the vicinity who have "DashCam" footage of this area are also asked to come forward and provide any information they feel may be relevant."
