Portsoy man who requires 'regular medication' reported missing

Police Say John has been traced safe and well

Police in Portsoy are appealing for the public's assistance in tracing John Day (62) who has been reported missing from Portsoy.

John was last seen in the Gordon Crescent area around 4.55am this morning (Wednesday, 20 January). He is believed to be on foot and could still be in the Portsoy area or may have travelled to nearby towns using a bus pass.

He is described as around 5 ft 5 ins tall with grey, short cropped hair and a moustache. He wears glasses and has a tattoo of a dream catcher on his left forearm. He is believed to be wearing a blue jumper, blue jeans and black shoes.

Constable Katee Bain said: "John requires regular medication and so it is crucial that we trace him to ensure his wellbeing and safety. Anyone who may have seen John or has any information on his whereabouts is urged to contact police on 101, quoting reference number 0496 of 20 January."
