Police vehicle involved in Inverness crash

Investigations are ongoing after a Police car was involved in a collision outside an Inverness dealership.

Emergency services were alerted to the incident outside of Park's Honda on Harbour Road at around 2:45pm this afternoon.

The airbag was deployed in the police vehicle and debris could be seen lying around cars involved.

The police car was later recovered after the road was shut for a short time.

Police Scotland have confirmed a two car crash included one of their own vehicles, with the driver of another car checked over by paramedics.

A spokesperson said: "Around 2.45pm on Tuesday, 8 November, 2022, emergency services were called to Harbour Road, Inverness, following a two car crash involving a police vehicle.

"The male driver of the other car was checked over by paramedics at the scene.

“The road was closed for a short time whilst the cars were cleared off the roadway and was re-opened around 4pm.

"Enquiries are ongoing into the incident."
