Police Nab Inverness 'Sneak-in' Thief

A 34 year old man has been reported over a series of thefts in the city.

A 34 year old man's been reported after a series of 'sneak-in' thefts in Inverness.

Several businesses and licenced premises were targeted over the past few weeks.

Police are warning the public to be vigilant over the festive season.

Detective Inspector Mark Czerniakiewicz has the following advice: "Police Scotland dont wan't criminals to have easy pickings in the run up to Christmas.

"Be aware of criminals entering business and other premises at all times of day and night with the intention of stealing items belonging to staff and customers.

"Dont leave your valuables where they can be taken easily and report anything you think is suspicious to the police straight away." Police appeal for anyone who witnesses suspicious behaviour to report it as soon as possible on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
