Police are appealing for witnesses following reports of an assault at a takeaway in Inverness.

Police are appealing for witnesses following reports of an assault at a takeaway in Inverness.

It's understood a man and a woman attacked a man whilst her was ordering food at the shop on Charleston Court at around 6.30pm on Thursday.

The injured man did not require hospital treatment.

A second victim, a woman also in the premises at the time, was reported to have been subjected to verbal abuse by the man and woman.

The man is described as white, in his 30s or 40's approximately 5'6" in height with a shaved head. At the time of the incident he was wearing a blue waterproof jacket and grey jogging bottoms.

The woman is described as white, in her 30s or 40s, approximately 5'5" in height and bad teeth. At the time of the incident she was wearing a purple waterproof jacket and blue jeans.
