Wick officers are appealing for more information after a vehicle drove on the wrong side of the road, hit another motorist, then fled the scene.

Police say the driver of a large silver vehicle veered onto the wrong side of the road at Rockhill Road junction, Hempriggs, before crashing into another driver.

The offending driver then travelled northwards without stopping and exchanging details following the incident at 1pm on Friday.

Police are appealing to anyone who has any information relating to this incident, or were in the area at the time of the incident and have dash cam footage, to phone 101.
