Police appeal after alleged robbery in Inverness

It's reported to have happened in the Merkinch area on Thursday morning.

Police are appealing for witnesses after an alleged robbery with a weapon in the Merkinch area of Inverness.

It's reported to have happened on Glendoe Terrace between 10:15am and 11:30am on Thursday December 9.

A man in his twenties was approached by two unknown men who engaged him in conversation before presenting a weapon and making off with a sum of money.

The first man is described as white, around 30 years old, brown collar length brown hair, black jacket, blue jeans and white trainers.

The second man is described as white, 25-30 years old, 5'9", wearing bright blue Gio Gio Hooded top, grey tracksuit bottoms and white trainers.

The man was not injured during the incident.

Police are now conducting door to door enquiries in the Merkinch area and reviewing CCTV.
