Pedestrian with life threatening injuries following Inverness incident

The accident happened on the B862 close to the Holm Roundabout

A man has been left with life-threatening injuries after he was hit by a car on Tuesday morning.

Around 9.45am emergency services were called to the B862 close to the Holm Roundabout in Inverness.

The collision involved a grey BMW 4x4 with the 50 year-old man taken to Raigmore Hospital. Police say he is being treated for serious injuries and is deemed to be in a life threatening condition. The female driver of the BMW wasn’t injured.

The road was closed until around 2.45pm to allow an investigation to take place. Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the man walking on the B862 in the vicinity of Holm (walking in the direction of Dores) to contact them.
